Painkiller Cocktail

Hi everyone! I know I have been MIA for quite some time, but fear not, I’m back! Since completing the self care challenge (which was amazingly awesome and extremely necessary) I have been insanely busy working 2 jobs and studying for the MCAT. I’ve had time to do nothing else, especially not cocktail time! BUT I have a little down time this weekend and I promised myself I would not waste it!

Since Winter decided to show out this week 🙄😒 I’ll be using this Painkiller Cocktail to help me think very warm thoughts! These used to be a happy hour favorite for me and I’ve been craving one like crazy! Piña coladas have nothing on the Painkiller!

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the rum, juice and coconut with ice. Shake vigorously to mix.
  2. Pour into cocktail glasses. Sprinkle with nutmeg and enjoy!.
Recipe Notes
  • Condensed milk works well as a substitute for cream of coconut. If you'd really miss that coconut flavor, use Malibu rum OR add coconut shavings to your cocktail!

I usually post recipes that don’t need a cocktail shaker but these are best shaken, not stirred. Don’t worry y’all, I don’t have a cocktail shaker either (not adult enough yet lol). Here is a list of every day items you can use as a substitute. I’m partial to empty pasta sauce jars because I have tons but water bottles and to-go coffee mugs work really well too!
