Cranberry Apple Cider Sangria

Hey there Cocktail Lovers!

I have been super busy as of late and have been neglecting my little blog. I’ve been working a lot, job hunting and just started studying for the MCAT. Needless to say I am booked to capacity pretty much every day. But Thanksgiving is next week and while I’ve been assisting to plan my family menu, I realized we needed some cocktails! No better excuse to jump back into blogging than to share some recipes for your Thanksgiving table!

I love all the staple flavors for Thanksgiving: cranberry, pumpkin, cinnamon, apple and the like. My mouth is basically watering just thinking about all the yumminess. So it was only right to find a cocktail that embodied some of those.

Cranberry Apple Cider Sangria was obviously an easy choice! I made a lot of modifications to the original recipe to make it simpler and a little more sweet.

Instructions
  1. Combine red wine, apple cider, cranberry juice, orange and honey in a large pitcher.
  2. Add cranberries and diced unpeeled apples.
  3. Refrigerate for a few hours.
  4. When ready to serve, fill glasses 3/4 full and top off with sparkling water. Garnish with cinnamon stick.
Recipe Notes
  • For a stronger sangria, use orange liqueur rather than a juiced orange.
  • Honey tends to settle during refrigeration. Make sure to stir thoroughly before serving.
